Framework Weekly Product Update - Aug 12, 2022

Dear Friends of Framework,

Hope your summer is going well and you’re staying cool 🆒 This week we spent most of our time tightening up the platform and improving the UI/UX across multiple facets of the application so that both the admin and member experiences are smoother ✨. Here’s the latest:

❌ Removed Challenge start dialogue by default

  • Starting a challenge just became easier. Instead of users having to navigate through up to 3 dialogs with various questions just to start the challenge, they’re now enrolled with just one click (in addition to payment screens, if relevant). Even better, we replaced the tedious pop-ups with a welcome dialog instead, getting users ready and excited for the journey ahead.

✍️ Inline images in emails now supported

  • We've received multiple requests to include images in emails. 💥 You can now add images in line to emails that go out on your behalf from Framework. The ability to add images brings additional life and color to the community and challenge emails. Dare we say consider replacing your expensive email sending software (cough ActiveCampaign / ConvertKit cough) with us? 😉

📱 Creating a Framework community on your phone just got easier!

  • We see a lot of you accessing and editing your Framework communities on mobile, so we made some changes to streamline the experience. The onboarding flow is now faster and shorter, and the responsiveness of the setup guide is vastly improved to allow for easy access to all the important aspects of your community. In addition, since creating a challenge on web is still the preferred and recommended pathway, we’ve made it super easy for new users to email themselves a sign-in link and get up and running on a computer!

🔧 Discard changes UI fix

  • A small but pesky bug 🐞 just got squashed! When navigating from Lessons to a Space, with unsaved changes, the admin was not seeing the "Discard Changes" dialog. However, when navigating back to the the Lessons, the Save/Discard prompt was unexpectedly appearing. We’ve fixed this now so goodbye confusion 👋
