Framework weekly product update email – July 15th, 2022

Dear Friends of Framework,

We have a lot to share with you this week 👀 Check out the highlights below:

🖇️ Announcing: Our Shopify Integration!

  • Admins can now enable a Shopify integration, enabling a whole range of exciting possibilities, such as bundling your challenge with a physical product that is offered through your Shopify Store.
  • More functionality will be released over the coming weeks. For now, Admins who set up the integration will be able to transfer data more seamlessly between Framework and Shopify. For information, you can check out our documentation here.

🎉 Hype up members with more celebration

  • Completing lessons and challenges was previously a bit… anticlimactic. We set out to make the challenge experience more celebratory. Members will now start seeing encouraging completion messages upon completing both lessons and challenges.
We believe the extra confetti will lead increased engagement, completion rates, and progress sharing among your members.

🚦Start a fixed start challenge late

  • Once fixed-start challenges started, incoming Members were previously blocked from enrolling. In some cases this is expected behavior. However, in others, you’d prefer that your members can join the challenge after it has started.
  • To solve for this second scenario, we’ve added a handy toggle within challenge settings, allowing Admins to configure whether “late starts” are permitted. If a late start is permitted, Members can enroll in a challenge even after the start date has passed.

📅 Set challenge scheduling settings during challenge creation

  • When creating a new challenge, if an admin selects "Scheduled", they’re now presented a dialog in which they can set a start date.

🔗 Community URL added to community drop down

  • To more visibly promote a community's unique URL, we now show it under the community name in the community drop down menu. This is especially helpful when the community is using a custom domain.

⚙️ New slide dialog for Space settings

  • Editing settings feels cleaner and more intuitive when done from a larger dialog. Meet the "Slide Dialog." The dialog occupies the full height of the window, but only a fixed width.

🕴️Community space improvements

  • Your “Community” space is your opportunity to foster interaction among members, outside of any one particular challenge. You now have the ability to reorder and hide this space alongside other Navigation pages.

🔢 Discount Code UX Improvements

  • Previously, there were a few user experience quirks around discount codes. We’ve smoothed a bunch of those out in this release. Including checking the validity of discount codes only after pressing an “Apply” button and more clearly displaying how a discount code impacts the total price.

🔗 Improved Sign Up and Sign In pages for communities using custom domains

  • Communities using custom domains were previously showing a sign in page with Framework branding, rather than the community's. Now, if someone visits the root custom domain, they’re brought to a community-branded version of your sign in page.

🔊 Audio component UI refresh

  • We heard you and now allow custom thumbnails for audio files!
  • We’ve also added a few other improvements to audio components, including the ability to skip forward and backwards by 10 seconds.

🐛 Bugs squashed

  • The “In Progress” section of the Home page was not hidden in certain cases, even if no challenges were in progress
  • Home page was showing posts from Challenge spaces even if a member was no longer part of the challenge in some cases

Phew! That was a big week! Thanks for reading through everything, as always. Let us know if you have any questions, ideas, or anything else for us. It always makes our day to hear from you.

Cheers,

Hannah
