Framework weekly product update email – June 23rd, 2022

Dear Friends of Framework,

The Challenge experience has just leveled up in a big way. We’re very excited to share a highly-anticipated update with you all 🥁

📅 Add events into Challenges!

  • Admins can finally add Events directly into Challenges! It’s now easier than ever to bring Challenge participants together for shared live experiences—on Zoom or anywhere else.
Events are only available in Fixed start challenges, since they introducing an event naturally creates a date-specific Challenge.

✍️ Format text in component details

  • In Exercises, Reflections, and Discussion Prompts, Admins can now format all text and add images or other attachments.

💪 Progress through components more intuitively

  • Progressing through components should be as intuitive and seamless as possible. We moved a component toolbar to the bottom of the lesson screen, allowing Members to mark components as complete and then progress to the next component by clicking “Next.”

👁️ Preview each lesson’s components from the lessons page

  • Admins can now see an indication of what components are inside each lesson, with mini icons serving as indicators for each component.

📜 Expand / collapse a condensed lesson list on Challenge landing pages

  • In Challenges with lots of lessons, the Challenge landing pages were getting… super long. For challenges with over 10 lessons, we now only show the first 5 lessons with an option to "Show more.”

🐛 Bugs squashed and small changes

  • Admins no longer have to double save when adding/editing components.
  • Resolved instances of a media component being moved to the mini player instead of exiting it when losing a media component moves
  • We cleaned up the Payment dialog so the checkout experience looks a whole lot nicer for Members.
  • Resolved issues with seeing challenges from other communities on the Home page
  • Fixed issues with the “Create” button on the Events page.

Thanks for taking the time to keep in touch with us! If you’re looking for more, we just wrote a super interesting blog post about how you can use challenges to hack motivation.

Cheers,

Hannah
