Framework weekly product update email – May 26th, 2022

Dear Friends of Framework,

This week we have a very exciting new component to discuss with you… 👀

🎙️ Introducing: Discussion Post Components

  • We’re excited to offer Discussion Posts as a new kind of lesson component for Challenges! The discussion post will make the connection between the challenge content and community more seamless than ever before!
Discussion Posts are only available in Challenges that include Spaces
  • Once created, Members can then fill out Discussion Posts and have them posted in the designated Space (which is denoted at the top of the post editor dialog). Once a member has published a Discussion post, they see a confirmation and a link directing them to the space their discussion was published in. If they navigate to the space, they’ll see their post accompanied with the relevant challenge and lesson tags.

🔥 Express yourself with new chat reactions

  • Framework has some fresh new reactions to offer our communities! Let the emotions flow.

👻 Set a challenge as "Unlisted" after publishing

  • Admins can now easily make Challenges invite-only by settings them as “Unlisted,” thereby hiding the challenge from their community.
  • Unlike Public challenges, which are visible to the community and available for members to enroll in, Unlisted challenges do not show up on the Challenge discovery page. This effectively makes an Unlisted challenge hidden to a community, but still available for anyone with a link to enroll in.

⚙️ Challenge settings now in the left navigation

  • All the challenge settings that were previously in the right drawer of the lessons page are now available for a more spacious editing experience in full screen view!

⚙️ Edit challenge preferences from the Lessons page

  • Members now have a three dot action menu on the Lessons page with options to Invite someone to challenge, Edit challenge preferences, or Go to challenge landing page.

🦐 Small changes

  • Members no longer have to fill out a title for the reflection or discussion post (although if they go to edit the post later, they will still be able to customize the title) and the prompt set by admin will fill the title of the post.
  • Email notifications in the challenge builder are now turned on by default for all scheduled lessons.
  • We made some improvements to tracker builder usability, such as: adding question numbers, adding tracker placeholder responses, and removing unwanted radio and checkbox styles

🐛 Bugs squashed

  • Resolved instances of lesson emails and drip feed settings missing
  • Fixed issues with reaching challenge completion
  • Improved Member Challenge Analytics load performance
  • Resolved issues with YouTube URLs throwing a technical error
  • Fixed text in text box in Form disappearing after some time of inaction bug
  • Improved visibility of the profile dialog on narrow screen sizes
  • Corrected outdated domains in challenge notification emails
  • Fixed display issues with component completion analytics
